<p><b>Based on the powerful CODESYS V3 PLC runtime system,</b></p><p> </p><p>these licenses are required to upgrade a PLC license from version V1 to V2.</p><p> </p><p>ctrlX PLC offers a scalable PLC control solution. It combines the advantages of standard PLC automation with the communication and function requirements of the Internet of Things – a perfect combination for the factory of the future. ctrlX AUTOMATION is embedded in the open automation platform and is based on the innovative Embedded Linux Ubuntu Core operating system with real-time expansion and enables easy expansion of functions via apps. ctrlX PLC can be customized to the specific task. Both apps from the ctrlX Store and third-party apps can be used. Security always comes first, from the configuration of ctrlX AUTOMATION, the security-by-design approach, to dedicated security apps for firewalls and VPN, which can be added individually and are certified according to IEC 62443.</p><p> </p><p>The entry-level version already offers more program and data maintenance memory than most comparable solutions. Ready-made function blocks, program templates and automatic code generation via a REST interface increase engineering efficiency and effectiveness. The ctrlX Data Layer makes the data selected by the user centrally available for seamless integration with other apps. Data can be exchanged with other systems via established standards, such as OPC UA or MQTT. For controlling I/O systems and other field devices, ctrlX AUTOMATION mostly uses the proven performance and reliability of EtherCAT®. Networking with other control systems is possible via OPC UA, PROFINET and Ethernet/IP.</p><p> </p><p>For networking via OPC UA, the definitions of the OPC Foundation’s Field Level Communication Initiative have been implemented in order to offer users sustainable solutions.</p><p> </p><p>This allows ctrlX PLC to be integrated into a wide variety of automation environments.
