At this point in time, there were considerable delays in delivery of these products and a total collapse of production with Birkenstock's announcement that we would have to reckon with deliveries of at least ½ year to 1 year. The reason for this was that Birkenstock itself took over the sales department (formerly ALPRO) and had a total breakdown in IT and logistics. Unfortunately, production was also affected. After the supplier's inventories had been used up, alternatives were sought. After several tests, B&R decided to use the VITAFORM sandals.
