The 1-port EtherCAT branch XB-EC-31 is used to decouple the EtherCAT local bus from a ctrlX I/O station. It can be used at any position between the ctrlX I/O modules and enables the setup of EtherCAT star topologies. Modular EtherCAT topologies can be implemented using multiple XB-EC-31 in one station.<br><br>The logic and peripheral voltage supply as well as the EtherCAT-based module communication are routed through the module.
